This past week, I think I have become a city girl. I used to think I wanted to live in the country, but just being in a city has made me change my mind. I loved it, especially at night. Just walking around, watching all of the people, even the ones who aren't all that pleasant to look at. I saw a group protesting against the circus, one dressed or painted as a tiger. I saw two men in skirts: one was a kilt, one was just black. There was a Starbucks around every corner, and a Barnes and Noble just down just one block. There was a lot of concrete, but small havens in the midst of it all, like the Water Gardens, made it bearable. More than bearable, in fact. I loved it.
